THE ENEMIES OF
MASONRYAND MORTAR — AGE, WATER, FOUNDATION SETTLEMENT, TREES AND BUSHES — CAN BE FOILED BY SPECIALISTS

Cracked brick walls must be repaired to prevent water penetration. The right mortar is the key to successful repair. Brick Restoration’s patented synthetic mortar is flexible and moves with settlement.

Unsecured walls (brick that has broken free from the ties) are an integrity issue. Brick Restoration’s patented wall fastening system fixes the problem without rebuilding.

Damaged walls often require new bricks. Brick Restoration has rare bricks, a network to other brick yards and a laboratory that “clones” impossible-to-find bricks.

Finding the source of a leak is the biggest, most difficult issue. Brick Restoration has developed a system that addresses the root cause.

Stains are a persistent problem. Masonry can simply become dirty. Brick Restoration returns it to its original, stain-free beauty.

Brick Restoration repairs leaning or stained chimneys and repairs damaged components (flue cap, metal cap, fire box).

AND REVITALIZE YOUR BRICK, MASONRY AND MORTAR

Serving Houston, the Gulf Coast and North Texas, Brick
Restoration, Inc. accepts jobs of any size, exterior and interior.
The company’s artisans use a combination of 21st
century proprietary products, Old World craftsmanship
and meticulous artistry to restore masonry to its
original beauty.

Robert Zumeta, president, Brick Restoration, Inc.

“When I first came to this area from Cuba, it was clear to me that
not many people knew how to restore brick facades. So I started this
business in which we restore all types of masonry. Damage to brick and
masonry wall happens for any number of reasons. Sometimes there’s an
accident, maybe a storm. Or it might just be the passage of time —
after about 30 years, it is normal to see wear-and-tear with brick.

“The mortar used in the repair work is very important. Most mortar
is made of sand and cement, but we mix our own acrylic-based mortar
that withstands the weather by expanding with rising temperatures and
also moves as the house settles.

“With brick restoration, it is essential to address structural issues
first, but sometimes the repair work is simply cosmetic. Either way,
Brick Restoration has skilled technicians who are dedicated to doing
the best work in the industry.”
